If you like adventure books then Rain Reign by Ann M. Martin is for you! Written by a Newbery honor author, Rain Reign is about a girl named Rose Howard and the adventure of how she tries to find her dog.
Rose has Aspergers Syndrome but she is obsessed with homonyms. She loves that her name is one rose, roes, and rows and purposefully gave her dog, Rain a homonym too, rain, reign and rein. Rose and Rain have stuck together ever since Rose's dad found Rain behind a bar. Rose's mom ran away when Rose was only two. Rose goes to school just like every kid but sometimes it can be challenging and difficult. When a storm hits town, Rose's dad lets Rain out and forgets to let her back in. Rose goes and tries to find her dog but uncovers a secret about Rain. I recommend this book to 4th graders and up.
