Fifteen years after the Twin Towers fall, Deja Barnes moves from Brooklyn to Manhattan with her younger sister, Leda and younger brother Raymond along with her Ma and Pop. Deja and her family don't have much money so they are living in a room in Avalon. It's hard starting a new school especially if you don't know anyone. But Deja makes two good friends Ben and Seeben. When their class gets an assignment about the twin towers Pop gets angry and Deja wants to figure out what the twin towers were and why Pop is mad. Ben and Seeben help Deja understand what the twin towers were, why they fell and find out a secret that Pop was keeping from Deja. I recommend this book to 5th graders and up.
