Free To Be Me

The children's picture book, Free To Be Me, by Nancy Zarriello has a powerful theme about acceptance. Nancy Zarriello is my aunt's mom. Nancy's son was her inspiration for this beautiful story.
At a young age the main character, Oliver, liked to do things that girls liked to do. His parents were always there for him and kept encouraging him to be himself even though he felt as though he didn't belong. It wasn't until after college that Oliver realized he was free to be himself and that love is love.
I recommend this book to early elementary and up.
