Sam's camp is evacuating due to a fire in the woods. When Sam is getting on the bus he realizes that he left his phone back at the camp, so he runs back to get it. When he gets his phone he starts running back to the bus but there is a wall of fire separating him from the bus and there's only one way to go: into the woods. On the journey Sam meets a girl named Delphy and together they try to live. Will Delphy and Sam be able to get back to their parents or will they have to live in the woods forever?
I recommend this book to 4th graders and up.
